Green Wreath Workshop

Create a unique and festive wreath with a variety of freshly cut greens. Our moss-filled frames allow for long-lasting decorations for your home and also make wonderful holiday gifts. Advanced workshops are for those who have already taken this class and wish to get started without instruction. Please bring pruners and plastic (dish) gloves. We supply all other materials. Limited to 20 per session (10 for Session E).

Registration fee: $50 per session             Members: $40 per session

Holiday Greens Sale

Saturday, December 4, 10 am to 2 pm
Wister Center

Gorgeous greens, holiday accents, and long-lasting wreaths are all available at the Holiday Greens Sale. Entrance is free and the public is welcome!

Finished wreaths designed by the talented and experienced volunteers and staff at the Scott Arboretum will also be available for purchase. Our wreaths are fresh and have been created using damp sphagnum moss. This technique has been selected to ensure a long-lasting wreath. Customers have expressed delight and satisfaction upon finding that their wreaths have remained attractive well into January.

Guided Tour: Winter Highlights

Tours depart from the Scott Arboretum Offices and are free and open to the public.

Join Julie Jenney, Educational Programs Coordinator, for a free tour of the Scott Arboretum. Learn how to add winter interest to your garden. The tour will begin at the Scott Arboretum offices and is free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, the tour will be canceled. Nature's Narratives: Biomimcry

Join fellow garden enthusiasts and book lovers as they discuss books about plants, nature, and the environment. “Nature’s Narratives” is a book discussion group sponsored by the Scott Arboretum where readers come together to discuss a book once a month and share in the reading experience.

The discussions are free and open to the public. Participants will need to read each month’s selection prior to the discussion.
