At Home Series: Private Garden of Jenny Rose Carey

Friday, June 15 at 10:30 am SOLD OUT
Drive on your own

Northview, the private garden of Jenny Rose and Gus Carey in Ambler, is a 4.5-acre garden with diverse garden rooms, including herb, moss, shade, and cutting gardens, a stumpery and more. A five-year-old "dry" garden has never been watered. In contrast, three small ponds provide a wetter area for iris and carex. The garden is home to fabulous old trees including a 120-year-old weeping Japanese maple planted shortly after the house was built in 1887 by Wilmer Atkinson, editor of “The Farm Journal.” Jenny Rose Carey is the director of the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University.

Bring your lunch to enjoy in the garden after the tour or just rest in any of the hundred places to sit. This is a rain or shine event. Comfortable flat shoes are a must. No photography for commercial use. Limited to 25.
