The Terrior of Wine with Joseph Buchter

Thursday, April 6, 7 to 9 pm
Wister Center

Terroir, "land" in French, is defined as, "the set of special characteristics that the geography, geology and climate of a certain place, interacting with plant genetics, express in agricultural products such as wine, coffee, chocolate, hops, tomatoes, heritage wheat, and tea." Join wine collector and educator Joseph Buchter as he guides us through paired tastings while highlighting the terroir of each wine. The tasting will include four pairings of unique and idiosyncratic wines, light snacks, and an expert to enlighten the group on the enjoyment of wine. Joseph has an advanced certificate from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and a definite enthusiasm for the craft of wine making! If you’ve taken this class before, Joseph will be showcasing different wines. Limit 34.
