The hydrangea collection is located along Whittier Place, across from Papazian Hall. It is a site culturally suited for this group of plants with fertile well-drained soil and
dappled shade. All of the major hydrangea groups are represented in the collection,
including H. arborescens, H. macrophylla, H. paniculata, and H. quercifolia.
Hydrangeas can be seen throughout the Arboretum as well, providing colorful blooms all summer. Pictured below: Hydrangea querciflora 'Snowflake' on the left, Hydrangea querciflora 'Alice' on the right.
