Tree peonies have been a part of the Scott Arboretum since its establishment. The
collection resides on the gentle slope
between Clothier Hall and Sharples Dining Hall, and displays over 130 types. Herbaceous and intersectional
peonies are also well represented in the collection, which are organized by country of
origin and hybridizer. Yellow magnolias provide light shade and add even
more color and fragrance to the spring display. Pictured below: Paeonia 'Kokuryunishiki'; overview of the collection.
