All of these events are free and open to the public. Tours depart from the Scott Arboretum Offices. In case of inclement weather, tours are cancelled. Sale plants growing on campus are marked with blue “Featured at the 2007 Plant Sale” labels.

During all sale
hours, Plant Experts will be available. Our Plant Experts volunteer throughout the Plant Sale to help answer questions about your plants and help you find the best plants for your needs. They all wear vests with "Plant Expert" on them. Please feel free to consult with them.
Volunteering at the Sale
Volunteer at the Plant Sale and help the Arboretum fulfill its mission of getting great gardening plants in home gardens. Vo
lunteers are needed to help during the set-up week before the sale, break-down of the Plant Sale field after the sale, and during the sale itself. Volunteers can work on particular committees like: woody plants, perennials, houseplants, etc.
Individuals who volunteer for three hours at the Plant Sale receive a $40 gift certificate to be used at the end of the sale on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 2 to 3 pm. To learn more or volunteer contact the Scott Arboretum Offices at 610-328-8025 or scott@swarthmore.edu.
