Education Center - Timeline
Planning and fundraising for The Education Center and Greenhouse Project began in 2002. Rough Brothers of Cincinnati produced greenhouse system plans in 2003 and Archer & Buchanan completed schematic design for the whole facility in 2004. Over $950,000 has been raised to date (9/06) toward the project goal of $2,571,200, $600,000 of which represents endowment. Once the remaining funds have been raised (projected to complete in 2010), the project will proceed as follows:
Year 1: Design development (month 1-4), construction documents, contracts bid and awarded (months 5-8), construction begins (month 9-12)
Year 2: Construction (continues first 6 months of year 2), finish work, installation of furnishings, equipment, and systems (months 7-12 of year 2.)
Year 3: Facility opens.
