Take a virtual behind-the-scenes look at the roses at Longwood Gardens and Scott Arboretum & Gardens\, how they came to be\, and the people involved in their cultivation and success. Come away from this class with a stronger understanding of rose history and the development of rose hybridization.   \nRegistration Cost: \nMembers of Scott Associates and Longwood Gardens: $10\nNon-members: $12\nACCESS Cardholder: $2 \nRegister via Longwood Gardens’ website.  \nTo register at the member or ACCESS level pricing\, email scott@swarthmore.edu. \n \n  \nAbout the Presenters \nMartin Stott is a former journalist who has made programs for the BBC and American radio from 21 countries. He is the author of the Storyteller Garden history blog. Stott has written for Gardens Illustrated and Hortus and is the co-editor of By Any Other Name\, the heritage rose journal of the World Federation of Rose Societies. \nAdam Glas\, Gardener Supervisor\, joined the Scott Arboretum & Gardens staff in 2012. Before that\, he worked as Nursery Manager at Terrain (at Styer’s) Nursery in Glen Mills. He was accepted into the Longwood Gardens Professional Gardener (PG) Training Program\, completing that program in 2006. He currently serves as president for the PG Alumni Association and vice president of the board of managers at Chenoa Manor. He studied Horticulture and Landscape Design at University of Wisconsin River Falls. \n  \nAbout ACCESS \nScott Arboretum & Gardens proudly participates in the Art-Reach ACCESS program.
