DESCRIPTION:In honor of the Japanese tradition of viewing autumn leaves (Momijigari\, literally “hunting red leaves)\, the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Ohara School of Ikebana will present a fall exhibition to coincide with the changing colors of our maple trees. Ikebana\, also known as the “way of flowers\,” is the art of Japanese flower arrangement and is subtle\, sensitive\, sophisticated\, and meditative. It utilizes flowers\, leaves\, and branches\, as well as unexpected and/or unconventional materials.  \nJoin us before the exhibition opens for this exclusive opportunity to enjoy the exquisite floral designs and converse with the arrangers. DESCRIPTION:After exploring the exhibition\, adults and children are invited to create their own floral arrangement using traditional Ikebana techniques. All materials will be provided and experts will be on-hand to provide assistance. \nThis is a free\, drop-in program and no registration is required. \nProgram Details:  \n\nThis event will be held in front of the Wister building.\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult.\nEveryone will be able to take home the floral arrangement they create.\nEmail us if you have accessibility needs for this program.
