Prior to entering the Longwood student program\, she worked at Reeves Reed Arboretum in Summit\, N.J.\, as a seasonal garden assistant and at Blue in Green Gardens in New York where she installed and maintained gardens in the city. She holds a B.S. in public health\, magna cum laude\, from William Paterson University in Wayne\, N.J. Her focus in public health centered on the relationship between the natural environment and human well-being.
