Creating a Stunning Rose Garden Webinar
May 27 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pmfree
Join us for a virtual tour of the Scott Arboretum’s Dean Bond Rose Garden and information on growing roses. This rose garden was redesigned several years ago with the intention of growing the best roses for our area and growing these roses in a sustainable way. New roses that are the most disease tolerant and vigorous for local growing conditions are constantly being evaluated and added to the garden. Companion plants were added into the rose garden in its redesign. These add an extended season of interest and complement the roses for a pleasing effect. Also learn about the history of the garden, its importance to the students, and the new entrance gate that was installed early this spring.
Your hosts for this event are Director Claire Sawyers, Coordinator of Horticulture and Director of Grounds Jeff Jabco, and Garden Supervisor Adam Glas. There will be time to answer your questions about roses, and rose companions, during this webinar.
