Gardens and Tonic: Outdoor Living and Hardscape Design
August 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Grab your favorite beverage and join us virtually with Scott Arboretum Gardener Emily Reuther and her husband Nate Reuther – who together run Five Senses Garden. They will be focusing on creating vibrant outdoor living spaces and residential landscapes. Nate also builds their masonry projects and will invite conversation on hardscaping in the garden. Thank you for sending any garden design or hardscape related questions or pictures to Julie by August 11.
The Gardens and Tonic Series is a question and answer virtual session with horticulture professionals. Join Julie Jenney from the Scott Arboretum and a featured horticulture professional for gardening questions, adventures, and lively discussion! Participants may be asked to submit photos related to their garden question before the session.
Registration is free but required as sessions are limited. Participants must have Zoom downloaded on their computer and be comfortable using it. The Zoom link will be included in the confirmation email received after registering online.
More about Emily and Nate:
Both Emily and Nate completed the Professional Horticulture Program at Longwood Gardens and continued their studies in the Horticulture program at Temple University. Nate’s background as an artist and landscape painter translated into his creation of Five Senses Garden as an opportunity to create living art. Having worked in many areas of horticulture, Emily’s main passion is connecting people with plants. She is thrilled to do this both working in public horticulture at Scott Arboretum and assisting at Five Senses Garden in designing outdoor living spaces.
