Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to learn from Richard Hawke, Chicago Botanic Garden’s Plant Evaluation Manager and Associate Scientist! He will share his research findings on genera such as Athyrium, Baptisia, Campanula, Coreopsis, Geranium, Geum, Hibiscus, Hydrangea, Nepeta, Rodgersia, Salvia, Stachys, Thalictrum, and Vernonia to name only a few! Valuable information he has collected on the best plants for green roofs will also be reviewed. Through his clear and humorous teaching style, Richard will provide participants with a wealth of information and renewed enthusiasm for great garden plants, and an eagerness to get out there and garden!   • Some class sizes are limited and registrations are accepted in the order received.
  • The Scott Arboretum shall not be liable in any way for any damage, injury, or loss of life or property incurred by any person in connection with these programs beyond the return of registration fees for cancellation by said date.

Cancellation Policy:

  • The Scott Arboretum retains the right to cancel any program due to lack of enrollment or unforeseen problems.
  • Refunds for classes will only be available if notice is given 10 business days before the class.
