Our featured speaker will be Holly Shimizu, who will focus on great examples of gardens that are not only beautiful but also provide healthy habitats for a multitude of beneficial wildlife. Speaking from personal experience, Holly will cover practical, beneficial decisions that enhance a garden’s health and create gardens that integrate with their local ecosystems and are distinctive in their designs. Stellar plants will be covered, including their value and the best ways to incorporate them into the garden. Holly is a nationally recognized horticulturist, consultant, and educator. With a rich background in all aspects of public gardens, extensive experience leading garden tours and workshops, and a proven commitment to plant conservation and sustainability, she has been making plants and gardens more accessible and exciting to both professionals and amateurs for over four decades.
