Nature’s Narratives: Underland: A Deep Time Journey

December 9, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

books

Join fellow garden enthusiasts and book lovers as they discuss books about plants, nature, and the environment. “Nature’s Narratives” is a book discussion group sponsored by the Scott Arboretum where readers come together to discuss a book once a month and share in their reading experience.

Celebrated nature writer, Robert Macfarlane, delivers an award winning book on Earth’s underworlds as they exist in myth, literature, memory, and the land itself in Underland: A Deep Time Journey.

Each discussion is free and will be offered through Zoom. Advance registration is required in order to receive the Zoom link (and note that Zoom needs to be downloaded on your device to participate).

Participants are encouraged but not required to read each month’s selection prior to the discussion. Nature’s Narratives will be led by Elizabeth Haegele and participants will be free to make comments and be part of the discussion – or just listen in.
