Join Jeff Jabco and Julie Jenney for the first half of a “hike” across Center City to see newly created and renovated gardens and public spaces, with stops at iconic Philadelphia sites. We’ll also point out our favorite stores and restaurants along the way! Sites will include: Dilworth Park at City Hall, PAFA alleyway, Phase I of The Rail Park, Reading Terminal Market for lunch, Independence Mall, Fringe Arts Building, Race Street Pier (designed by James Corner Field Operations), “The Dream Garden” Tiffany glass mural in the Curtis Center, and Washington Square. We will arrive at Suburban Station and end at Jefferson Station, taking a late afternoon train back to Swarthmore. Train transportation included. Lunch on your own in Reading Terminal Market. Must be able to walk 5 miles at a brisk pace. Stay tuned for the second half of the hike to come in 2020. Limited to 22 hikers.
