Co-sponsored with the Hardy Plant Society/Mid-Atlantic Chapter
Join author Teri Dunn Chace for an engrossing presentation based on her award-winning book, Seeing Seeds: A Journey into the World of Seedheads, Pods, and Fruit. In Teri’s words, “every seed tells a story.” Though small and often not noticed or examined carefully, seeds are simply amazing—how they look, what they do, and how they do it as they work towards their astounding goal of self-replication. Teri reveals the strange, fascinating world of seeds from plants as familiar as oaks and dandelions, and as curious as figs and hellebores. Robert Llewellyn’s gorgeous photographs will illustrate her talk, and Teri will explain his “image-stacking” technique.
A reception will follow with book sales. Free and open to the public, space limited to 200. First come, first served.
