Virtual Gentle Slow Flow Yoga – Winter Series

January 18, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
snow in the garden

Every Tuesday, Jan. 11 through March 8, 2022 from 11 am to 12 pm

Join local yoga teacher and Scott Arboretum Youth, Family, and Diversity Programs Coordinator Mandie Curtis Banks for a virtual gentle slow flow yoga class. Each week’s practice will focus on a different Scott Arboretum garden or tree/plant that is in its seasonal glory. Be inspired by nature themes and a gorgeous garden virtual backdrop as you participate in the comfort of your home. You can expect to move your body in a gentle, comfortable way with an emphasis on safe alignment and yoga sequencing that integrates breath and meditative techniques.

Registration is free and only needs to be done once for the entire series, but you must be a member of Scott Arboretum. Please click here to become a member.

Mandie Curtis Banks is the Youth, Family, and Diversity Programs Coordinator at the Scott Arboretum. She has had a career in the arts, education, and wellness fields for over 23 years and has taught and coordinated performing arts and yoga classes in several local schools and organizations. Mandie holds a B.A. in Theatre from West Chester University, an Elementary Education Teaching Certificate from Moravian College, and yoga teacher certifications in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Children’s Mindfulness and Yoga, and Postnatal Yoga training.
