Join Scott Arboretum staff and local gardening enthusiasts as they share travel experiences abroad! In addition to learning about spectacular gardens, plants, and landscapes, you’ll get a taste of the art, cuisine, architecture, and customs of lands near and far. It’s a perfect wintertime escape!
Last September two dozen Scott Associates headed off with the Scott Arboretum Director Claire Sawyers to Portugal to tour gardens and other sites of interest. Join Claire as she revisits the 14 gardens in Sintra, the Duoro Valley and Lisbon, along with other notable sites and natural areas the group enjoyed. See for yourself the beauty and unique character of Portuguese landscapes.
Free and open to the public, Wanderings at One is an informal way to share what has been seen and discovered in various gardens and natural spaces throughout the world. Held from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Lang Performing Arts Center Cinema at Swarthmore College.
