Jan. 23: Choosing the best winter-flowering trees and shrubs
Jan. 30: Choosing the best winter-flowering perennials and bulbs
(Hold Feb. 6 as a bad weather date)

Why not garden deliberately for the winter season? Bring together a succession of winter flowers for color and fragrance, including snowdrops, winter aconites, adonis, witchhazel, viburnum, mahonia, camellias, and more. Create a dynamic scene against a background of evergreens, colored stems, bark, and berries. Stage this theater of winter flowers where you can readily enjoy the changing cast of characters while using microclimates to increase their performance. Join lecturer, author, and consultant Charles Cresson, for this series as he illustrates how to easily adapt these concepts to your home garden and select the best plants. Let winter entertain you! Limit 40.
