Yes, I love the scent of the flowers when open, but other things are blooming for me (in Atlanta) by the time they peak. The buds, however, are there the entire winter lighting up the landscape, impervious to snow, ice, and gale force winds. Everyone who sees this plant in bud or flower stops to ask about it. If you only let me keep one shrub, this would be it. The eranthus pic is lovely.
