Since 1971, The Associates of the Scott Arboretum have supported the goals of the Arboretum. When you join, you help support educational efforts and horticultural activities and take advantage of the Arboretum's many benefits.

Associates' Benefits
All membership categories receive as part of their membership benefits:
- Admittance to gardening lectures featuring renowned speakers who offer insights on a variety of gardening topics.
- Ticket(s) to Garden Day, an annual tour of private gardens.
- The Hybrid, the Arboretum's quarterly newsletter, which will provide you with useful information on new plants and gardening trends. See a sample issue.
- Invitations to the Spring Festival, Fall Festival, and other special events.
- Two plant dividends per year, distributed at the Festivals.
- Entrance to the Plant Sale during Members hours.
- Special mailings such as two Schedules of Events each year, announcements of special events, and conference brochures.
- Free guided walks through the Arboretum highlighting plants of seasonal interest.
- Announcements of trips to explore some of the great public and private gardens of the world with the Arboretum staff.
- Borrowing privileges in the Arboretum's horticultural library, which has subscriptions to over 50 periodicals, 100 newsletters, and more than 1,000 volumes devoted to horticulture.

- Discounts on events, tours, workshops, and trips that require a registration fee.
- Admittance to the Members' Plant Exchange, a plant swap held each spring.

Sponsor members and above also receive:
- An invitation to a special Arboretum event each year such as a garden party in an acclaimed private garden.
- Ten custom-made plant identification labels.
Benefactor, Patron, Director's Circle, and Philanthropist Members also receive:
- Borrowing privileges to an embossing label-maker for a total time of one week per year. Labels are free.
- A choice of $40 workshop credit coupon or Individual gift membership.
Director's Circle, and Philanthropist Members also receive:
- Annually receive 100 embossed metal plant tags
Organizational Members receive:
- One free custom-designed tour per year at the Arboretum provided by an Arboretum staff member.
- $5 discount to first-time members to the Associates of the Scott Arboretum for members of an organization with Organization Membership.

Membership Categories and Dues
Membership dues cover 12 months from the date you join. For those who wish to support the Arboretum's goals with a more substantial contribution, we offer a choice of categories:
