Ways to get involved at the Scott Arboretum

Become a Volunteer

Volunteers help us maintain our gardens and plant collections and provide over 60 horticulture-related, educational programs and special events to the public each year. We invite you to become a volunteer and meet “plant people” and learn about gardening in the Delaware Valley.

Become a Member

Since 1971, the Associates of the Scott Arboretum have supported the goals of the Arboretum. Join to support educational and horticultural activities and enjoy many benefits.

Participate in the Community Garden

Scott Associates may rent a 10×25-foot plot in the community garden on the corner of Harvard and Yale Avenues in Swarthmore, PA.

Become an Intern

Scott internships offer work experience in a campus arboretum to individuals interested in a career in public horticulture. In addition to on-the-job training, interns have opportunities to meet other professionals in the area and to attend educational events.
