Arboretum Hours
Open every day dawn to dusk; admission is free. The Arboretum Offices are open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to noon and 1:00 to 4:30 pm. For more information, please call the Arboretum Offices at (610) 328-8025 during business hours.
Horticultural Library
The Arboretum Offices house a library with over one thousand garden-related books; hundreds of magazines, catalogs, and newsletters; and a collection of brochures from gardens world-wide.
Membership
The Associates of the Scott Arboretum, an active membership organization, aids efforts through financial and volunteer support. Membership benefits include the Hybrid, the Arboretum's quarterly newsletter, invitations to special gardening events, discounts on educational events and at local businesses, and two plant dividends a year. Visit the membership page for specifics.
Educational Programs
Horticultural activities for the home and professional gardener are offered including lectures, guided tours, conferences, workshops, short courses, and trips. Scott Associates automatically receive a Schedule of Events; copies are also available at the Arboretum Offices.
Special Events
Throughout the year special events such as summer concerts, a biennial plant sale, Spring and Fall Festivals and the Winter Celebration are held. Visit the events page for complete details.
Tours
The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College offers regularly scheduled staff and volunteer led tours. Groups of ten or more interested in a guided tour should contact the Scott Arboretum Offices at 610-328-8023 or scott@swarthmore.edu. A large part of the Arboretum is wheelchair accessible.
Internship Opportunities
