Blooms of the Season: Plant Sale Edition I

by | Sep 14, 2013

To continue our Blooms of the Season series, Diane Mattis has been diligently collecting Plant Sale plants and their complimentary plants from the garden this spring and summer. Her newest scan features Plant Sale plant Hydrangea arborescens Invincibelle SpiritTM. Looking wonderful in the garden at the same time as Invincibelle SpiritTM were Athyrium nipponicum ‘Pictum’ and Salvia ‘Wendy’s Wish’.

Invincibelle SpiritTM is the first pink version of the popular ‘Annabelle’. The massive mophead blooms reach 6 to 8 inches in diameter and mature from dark pink buds to hot pink flowers, fading to a soft pink and providing a show from early summer to frost.

Pick up your own Invincibelle SpiritTM at the Scott Associates Plant Sale on September 20 to 22, 2013.
