
Step into the lush greenery of the Crum Woods for an exclusive members-only foraging hike led by Sue MacQueen, Campus Engagement Manager and experienced forager. Open to all ages, this guided exploration will introduce you to plants thriving in our local ecosystem.
During this hike, you’ll learn to identify seasonal wild foods, discover their traditional uses, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural abundance around us. Whether you’re a seasoned forager or a curious beginner, this immersive walk offers a unique way to connect with nature and the changing landscape of summer.

- Participants must be able to hike on unpaved, hilly surfaces for about 2 miles, with exposed roots and rocks.

- This members-only event is free, but registration is encouraged to receive program updates.
- This hike will depart from Matchbox.
- Visitor Parking is available in Field House Parking along Field House Lane using Swarthmore College’s South Entrance. Walking signs will guide participants to the tour departure location in front of Matchbox.
