Helianthus ‘Sunshine Daydream’

This plant with its beautiful golden bloom is great for some late summer bloom. ‘Sunset Daydream’ has a nice size double flower and color that will catch your eye from a distance. Hibiscus syriacus ‘Minerva’

This Hibiscus can grow in full sun to part shade and can grow up to 10 feet tall. It has lavender flowers with dark red centers. The bloom starts in July and will continue into the fall; the flower also attracts butterflies. This is a very tough and easy to grow hibiscus and can be found next to Old Tarble. photo credit: V. Eutrochium purpureum

Also known as Joe pye weed, this is a tough plant that can handle moist soil and full sun but still has nice foliage. Joe pye weed get 5-7 feet tall and with very small purplish pink fragrant flowers and will bloom July to September. See this plant in the BioStream. photo credit: V. Cornaglia
