Taylor's Guide to Roses

Taylor's Guide to Roses

Taylor’s guides are known for their complete information in convenient size books. This Guide to Roses is no different. This pocket-sized encyclopedia has more than 450 color photographs as well as drawings of a wide variety of cultivated roses. It is organized by species, shrub, old garden, floribunda, hybrid tea, miniature, and climbing roses. This guide also discusses common pest problems and solutions, arranging cut roses, and even how to design a rose garden. This book also has a color key, which organizes roses according to the color class that experts assign them. The wonderful array of rose colors range from white to yellow to pink to purple are all represented in this guide. The book also does a decent job of discussing the various pruning techniques for the many different kinds of roses. So, the next time you’re considering what rose to add to your garden, check this book out of our library and then visit the Dean Bond Rose Garden to determine the best selection for you.

Please join us for a lovely evening in our Dean Bond Rose Garden for Sunset Sippin’: White Roses and Whirlwind Wit on Thursday, June 18th from 6 to 8 pm.
