Nature Printing Botanical Tote Bag Workshop
September 30 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pmCanceled
This program is part of the Delco ARTS Week!
Join Laura Bethmann, artist and author of Hand Printing from Nature, to create a colorful, cotton tote bag designed with hand-printed autumn leaves. One can never have too many delightful, serviceable tote bags, and this one will make a special gift for yourself or a friend. The ancient art of nature printing is an intriguing process and we will use fresh leaves from the Arboretum and high-quality textile paints. No experience required; all supplies included with registration.

About the Presenter
Laura Bethmann is a watercolor painter who gardens, prints plants, and writes books, including Nature Printing and Hand Printing From Nature. Her original watercolor paintings and original nature print paintings are in many collections and are exhibited in museums and galleries.
Laura’s deep appreciation for nature, Master Gardener training, and continual research inform her work as an artist, author, and workshop leader. When not tending her garden or visiting gardens, she can most often be found squirreled away working in her studio, which is located in a tiny southern New Jersey town between the Pine Barrens (an International Biosphere Reserve) and the coast.
