About the Presenter
Abigail Urena joined Scott Arboretum & Gardens’ horticulture team as a Gardener in July 2024 after she graduated from the professional horticulture program at Longwood Gardens. Prior to entering the Longwood student program, she worked at Reeves Reed Arboretum in Summit, N.J., as a seasonal garden assistant and at Blue in Green Gardens in New York where she installed and maintained gardens in the city. She holds a B.S. in public health, magna cum laude, from William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. Her focus in public health centered on the relationship between the natural environment and human well-being.
