Travels at Twelve: Julie Jenney: Desert Super Bloom and Southern California Highlights

January 21, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

In March 2019, Julie Jenney scouted several gardens in Southern California as well as the desert terrain in and around Palm Desert during the tail end of a super bloom year. She will take you to Joshua Tree National Park, Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Sunnylands (the former Annenberg Estate), The Huntington, Getty Center, a desert oasis, and the top of a mountain by way of the terrifying (to her) Palm Springs Aerial Tramway!

Travels at Twelve is an informal way to share what has been seen and discovered in various gardens and natural spaces throughout the world.

Registration is free but required. Participants must have Zoom downloaded on their computer and be comfortable using it. The webinar link will be included in the confirmation email received after registering online.

Julie Jenney is the Educational Programs Coordinator for the Scott Arboretum. She has led thirteen overnight trips around the country for Associates of the Scott Arboretum and looks forward to doing so again. In addition to trips, events, classes, and conferences, Julie plans and moderates the virtual Gardens and Tonic series.
