Come celebrate Arbor Day with us! Bring your family to the Scott Arboretum and receive a free Carpinus caroliniana (american hornbeam) or Chionanthus virginicus (white fringetree) sapling (one per family, while supplies last) and participate in tree-related fun and activities for the whole family. The tree giveaway and art activities will be available in the Wister Center and surrounding gardens. Explore our spectacular springtime gardens. We encourage families to bring a picnic! Also, join us at noon on a Heritage Tree tour to learn about some of our biggest, oldest, and rarest trees!
Girl Scouts can earn the “Girl Scout Tree Promise” Badge by attending this event and completing the required activities. Badges will be provided. Troop leaders, please email scott@swarthmore.edu to share how many Girl Scouts are going to be attending the event.
Cub Scouts (Weblos /Arrow of Light) can work towards earning the “Into the Woods” Badge by attending this event and completing the required activities. Badges will be provided. Troop leaders, please email scott@swarthmore.edu to share how many Cub Scouts (Weblos/Arrow of Light) are going to be attending the event.
